As reports say, among the most common measures, the following strategies have been spotted: Raising the retirement age (Australian government); Workplace mentoring (Jones, 2012). Workplace mentoring Being the most promising strategy of all three mentioned above, workplace mentoring ca n be defined as establishing the specific models of behavior for the employees to follow in order to remain competent, growing both professionally and personally, and deal with the lack of enthusiasm or creativity (French, 2011, 136). With the help of mentoring, employers will be able to bring the rates of workplace shortages down and manage to keep their more integrated, more invested in their work, and more enthusiastic about the future prospects. Benefits of workplace mentoring According to what the recent researches say, the key asset of the specified approach is that it makes the employees perfect their skills without setting very competitive environment (Gallagher Metcaff, 2012). Instead of stressing the fact of rivalry in a specified business field, employers offer their subordinates an example of organizational behavior that they would like to see, which works surprisingly well. Disadvantages of workplace mentoring It is important to mention, though, that workplace mentorin g also presupposes dealing with a number of complexities and overcoming numerous obstacles for both employees and employers.Advertising Looking for report on business economics? Motivation has always been an issue for any company, and the Australian entrepreneurships are no exception. Thus, it will be necessary to introduce a motivation enhancing strategy together with the chosen change design (Griffin Oââ¬â¢Leary-Kelly, 2004). Inability to establish a proper model of organizational behavior. By conducting an analysis of the roles of an employee and a company leader as interpreted in the present-day literature, one will be able to come up with a working model for organizational behavior (Aamodt, 2 012). Disadvantages for employees and acceptable solutions Meanwhile, employees will most likely have the following complexities to deal with when getting accustomed to the new demands: Increase in competition. No matter how the HRM team, the managers and the company leader might strive to promote togetherness among the employees, the latter will still compare their skills among each other, which will eventually lead to competition. It is important to note that competition is not necessarily a negative phenomenon; when it is not accelerating, it can be used to fuel the employeesââ¬â¢ enthusiasm. However, once rivalry gets out of hand, promoting knowledge sharing and other principles of a friendly tam becomes impossible (Dalkir, 2005).Advertising We will write a custom report sample on Human Resource Management: Workplace Shortages and the Related Issues specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More Stress from both coping with work and trying to meet the new demands. Conclusion The necessity to follow the new rules and adapt to a new environment will necessarily create a stressful atmosphere, which is bound to bring the performance levels down for a while. Therefore, the company leader will have to set his/her priorities straight and figure out if the company is ready for having the working process slowed down temporarily. That being said, it is clear that mentoring alone will hardly be of any effect. It is only with the efforts of the companyââ¬â¢s leader that the reasons for further growth will appear. In this book we see the lives of 6 different homosexual people who face many problems within their identity, society and gender. Yvonne Flowers, Jim Fouratt, Foster Gunnison, Karla Jay, Sylvia Ray Rivera and Craig Rodwell, who are the characters of this book, are all homosexuals; therefore they face main difficulties while trying to understand their gender. All these people like people from the same gender and they all have behaviors like the opposite gender. Craig likes to wear make up, Yvonne is as tough as a man and she always acts like a man. All of the characters in the book are struggling a lot with their gender. When they are growing, they are not aware of which gender that they belong to and most of their first crushes are from the same sex and even if they are not, they realize how they prefer to have a relationship with people who belong to same sex. Craigs first crush, when he was seven, was an older boy named Bob Palmer. Bobs talented piano playing made him something of a school star and Craig just worshipped him. The Bermuda Triangle Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words - 1
The Bermuda Triangle - Essay Example The essay "The Bermuda Triangle" talks about the Bermuda Triangle, an area of the Atlantic Ocean, which has a mythical value as it is associated with the inexplicable disappearance of numerous vessels such as ships and airplanes passing through or over the area. The name emanates from the fact that the area is marked by a triangularly shaped border which connects Bermuda to Miami and then to San Juan back to Bermuda. It is believed that this section of the ocean is always busy with traffic, with commercial ships sailing through to places such as Europe, Caribbean and other ports in America while tourists fly over from Florida to Bermuda and other Islands in the vicinity and back using light airplanes. This section of the ocean is said to have numerous cases of strong currents, storms, and hurricanes during certain times of the year and this has been termed as the real reason as to why notable disappearances of vessels have occurred especially before the advancement in communication t echnologies, which are important in acquiring real-time information on the whereabouts of vessels cruising through the ocean or flying through the air. However, this has not helped much in changing the mythical identity of Bermuda triangle. The earliest allegation in this area was in 1950 by one Edward Winkle, who reported that there were mysterious disappearances, which could not be explained inhumanly possible terms. The disappearance of a Navy aircraft, Flight 19, in 1945 is cited as one of the most important historical events.

Jinikin Jeans Human Resource Analysis and Strategies Essay
Jinikin Jeans Human Resource Analysis and Strategies - Essay Example By Jinkin Jeans beginning to alter the way in which they approach the structures within the company, there will be the ability to create a different set of return with the company while moving toward increased growth within the corporation. Analysis of People Management The main problem with Jinkin Jeans is noted first through the outcome of the performance that is a part of the company. The human resource management which occurs in a business directly reflects how the external environment responds and what is required for improvement by those which are functioning within a corporation. To alter this, there is the need to analyze the performance of the external environment first then to link this back to the way in which the human resources are functioning within the company (Paul, 2003). For Jinkin Jeans, this is noted with the external performance. There is difficulty in keeping up with the latest trends and fast pace of fashion that is required for the environment. More important, there are continuous complaints from customers and the inability to deliver the right products to those who are interested in the jeans. These are causing for lower performance and for competitors to move ahead of the jean company. The problem links to the management of those working for the company, knowledge of the vision of the corporation and the way in which the different development of jeans is being handled, both in terms of outsourcing the jeans and within the main corporation. The problem which is associated with the human management in Jinkin Jeans is furthered by not having the right individuals toward the tasks as well as carrying a loss of vision toward the requirements with the business. For Jinkin Jeans to remain as a part of the competition there needs to be an approach of having the latest fashion trends, creating accuracy with all products offered and to ensure that there is mainstream developments from all employees. More important, the leaders and those developi ng the products need to have a competent understanding of the tasks to be carried forward within the corporation to expand the market. It is noted that there is a direct relationship between total quality management and operational performance. Total quality management consists of first understanding the vision and values of the company then expanding this into an understanding of the relationships which come from the supply chain to the products and to the external environment. The operations then need to begin reflecting the external environment by the right human resources and the implementation of different tasks per person (Samson, Terziovski, 1999). The third problem which is a part of Jinkin Jeans is based on the outsourcing and lack of staff that is linked to both the outsourcing and the external environment. Currently, there is no marketing manager that is in place. It is also noted that the two owners continue to micromanage the different products without looking at specif ic needs within the corporation. The values with outsourcing and the communication processes donââ¬â¢t have any trained individuals which are working for the corporation and are unable to provide relevant processes that are a part of the corporation. This is combined with a lack of understanding of where the human resource management should implement leadership skills and what the main focus

The Lion and the Mouse who Returned a Kindness :: Aesop, Aesops Fables
à à à à à Aesop among many other prominant authors wrote tales of animals taking on human characteristics, but none is so prevelant as the reputation of the mighty lion. Known as the king of animals, the lion appears as an object of strength and nobility in countless aspects of life including history, literature, art, astronomy, movies, and dance. à à à à à Who is this amazing creature? According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, the lion (Panthera Leo) is a flesh-eating animal that live cheifly in sandy plains and rocky places where there are thorn thickets and tall grass. Male lions can reach a length of 2.50m (8ft), and a weight of 250kg (550lb). They can live for 15 years, but in captivity some have reached an age of up to 30 years. They mainly eat larger herbivores such as buffalo, zebra, and in cultivated areas an occasionally human. There strength is amazing, and both parents take great care in tending to their young, often referred to as cubs (168-69). à à à à à Much is to be said about the mannerisms and personalities of lions, and no one has summed this up as well as Aesop. There are four fables listed in our textbook dealing with the qualities humans believe to be true about lions. These assumptions may have begun with Aesopââ¬â¢s fables, but really knows. à à à à à à à à à à à à à à à à à à à à In the first fable, The Lioness and the Vixen, the saucy personality of the lioness is shown. When denounced for the birth of only one cub, the lioness quickly snaps back aat the vixen, ââ¬Å"Only one, she said, but a lionâ⬠(Aesop 607). This answers the question of quality over quanity; and for most the lion is considered the best in quality the ââ¬Å"cream of the cropâ⬠as some would say. Aesop iterprets here that the lion knows he is the best, and doesnââ¬â¢t mind sharing it with the rest of the animal kingdom. à à à à à Aesop again illustrates the lion as being king in The Lion, The Wolf, , and The Fox. Aesop clearly writes ââ¬Å"all the animals came to pay respect to their king,â⬠(Aesop 607). Even in the title of the fable Aesop lists the lion first before the wolf and fox. This could just be by mishap, or as seen in other fables the animals could be listed in order of appearance in the text. Regardless of the title Aesop gives the lion dominating powers of the other animals. He writes ââ¬Å"the lion demanded to know at once what cure he had found,â⬠(Aesop 608).
